Project Description:

The Sustainable Living Tips and Energy Tracker is an application designed to promote eco-conscious habits and efficient energy use. Leveraging Flask, HTML, CSS, and minimal JavaScript, the project integrates educational content with user-friendly interfaces. Implementations include Plotly for visualizing graphs in the Energy Consumption Tracker feature and WTForms for form creation and validation, including email validators for data accuracy in the Enquiry Form.

The goal of this project was to design a hotel website that emphasizes user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design, prioritizing intuitive navigation and engaging interactions. The focus was on crafting a visually appealing and user-friendly website that enhances the overall experience for visitors.

The entire wireframe was meticulously developed in Figma, drawing design inspiration was mainly from Marina Bay Sands and various renowned hotel websites.

Developed using Python, it incorporates advanced data handling and sorting techniques, focusing on robust validation and user-friendly console interfaces. The system supports the capture, processing, and analysis of data.

Features Developed:

• Logging: Tracks and records actions performed within the application for auditing purposes.
• Access Control: Implements access restrictions for specific features based on user roles.
• Sorting Options: Provides ascending or descending sorting for all types of sorts, including Bubble Sort, Selection Sort, Quick Sort, and Merge Sort.
• Validation: Applies comprehensive validation rules, including regex for email and phone number validation, checks for invalid inputs, duplicate primary keys, duplicate emails, DOB restrictions, and duplicate phone numbers.
• Enhanced Input Formatting: Automatically capitalizes inputs for department, job title, and name fields, and converts email addresses to lowercase.
• Table Formatting and Aesthetic Features: Displays data in a structured table format with colored fonts to enhance readability.
• Extended Data Types: Manages additional data types such as email, phone number, and date of birth.
• Record Management: Allows retrieval of specific records by primary key and manages optional data fields with default values when necessary.
• Customer Management: Facilitates the addition and viewing of customer data with validation, processes customer requests based on tier priority, and merges duplicate requests from the same customer.
• Queue Data Structure: Utilizes a Queue system for managing customer requests, including validation with Sequential Search to prevent duplicates.
• Data Export and Import: Supports exporting and importing employee data in CSV format with validation to maintain data integrity.
• Data Analytics: Provides analytical insights for employees within departments.
• Search and Filtering: Includes search functionality for finding employees by name and advanced filtering options for the employee table, with settings that can be saved for future use.
• Request History Management: Saves processed customer request history and allows exporting of this history to CSV format.

Technological Components Used:

• Python Standard Libraries: Used for fundamental functionalities including logging, regex validation, and CSV handling.
• External Libraries: Utilizes 'tabulate' for formatted table outputs, 'colorama' for colored console text, and 'matplotlib' for data visualization.
• Data Structures and Algorithms: Implements various sorting algorithms (Bubble, Selection, Quick, Merge Sort) and data structures (Queue, List, Dictionary) to efficiently manage and manipulate data.

About:

This assignment details the design and implementation of a network topology for a global e-commerce company's HQ at Loyang Crescent and a new warehouse at Tuas Crescent. The design adheres to the specified requirements and includes various networking features.

Routing:

Dynamic routing is used, offering significant advantages over static routing, including automatic updates, resilience, redundancy, efficient network utilization, and scalability. Multi-area OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) is deployed, benefiting the network with scalability, fast convergence, VLSM support, and load balancing across multiple paths.

Design:

The topology assigns each VLAN a dedicated switch, with wireless routers included for VLANs with fewer clients, enhancing connectivity and flexibility. This design ensures segmentation for security, scalability for future expansions, and improved network performance by minimizing broadcast domains.

Features:

• DNS & Web Server: Added to handle domain name resolutions and host internal web services, enhancing communication and availability.
• SYSLOG Server: Centralizes logging of network events, improving monitoring, troubleshooting, and security.
• NTP Server: Synchronizes time across all routers, ensuring consistent timekeeping and accurate time-stamping for network events.
• PPP with PAP Authentication: Used for WAN links between HQ and the warehouse, providing secure connections, error detection, and bandwidth optimization.
• Router-on-a-Stick: Enables inter-VLAN routing, utilizing a single physical router interface for multiple VLANs, improving cost efficiency and management flexibility.
• Dynamic NAT: Allows internal networks to access the internet through a pool of public IP addresses, providing security by hiding internal IPs and conserving public IP resources.
• Access Control Lists (ACLs): Implemented on the HQ router to control internet access, enhancing security by allowing only authorized internal networks and blocking specific traffic such as the cafe network from accessing internal web servers.
